OMG! I was just getting ready to post this very same video! I had just made a comment on your other post, and was getting ready to write a new post linking to Evan Sayet. Wow.
Anyway, Elise, this is the video I was talking about.
Honestly, I'm still processing what this guy said. I found it intriguing, interesting, and even provocative. But I'm not entirely convinced he is right. I will say that he certainly has more authority to speak on the issue than I, having been a liberal, and being surrounded by liberals.
Anyway, I'd like to be part of a discussion here on the cult of indiscriminateness, once you've all watched it. Truthfully, I had to watch it a couple of times, and take notes on it, in order to understand it.
Here are some money quotes:
Indiscriminateness is a moral imperative because its opposite is the evil of having discriminated.
In order to eliminate discrimination the modern liberal has opted to become utterly indiscriminate.
But it is a mindless indiscriminateness - virtually antagonistic to any other position. Why? Because when you've been brought up to believe that indiscriminateness is a moral imperative, any position other than their own must have employed discrimination.
Once you subscribe to indiscriminateness, anything other than indiscriminateness is the evil of having discriminated.
