Thanks for posting this Matt! I watched the first 25 minutes of it yesterday, and hope to finish it today. This is simply unfathomable!! Where is our main stream media in this scandal? Why are they propagating these mistruths?
Since the disadvantaged will be the hardest hit by the political solutions to this non-crisis, those who are ranting and raving about global warming are joining to further oppress those who can least afford it. That anyone would use their position of power or popularity to further this cause is almost unforgivable. Either they have not looked at the facts, or they are choosing to ignore them - in order to advance themselves at the expense of many. Incredible.
I actually thought that the last 15 min or so (spoiler alert) were the most powerful. The facts can be debated, but to hear these people working on African development talk about how they are asked to use the most expensive forms of energy available seems SO imperialistic and paternalistic. I think that is the strongest argument against these types of regulation out there.
When the founder of Green Peace calls the environmentalists "anti-human", well, that should get some press.
"Morally repugnant" is what one interviewee called the global warming campaign's effects on developing countries. Spot on. And you're right, the condescension involved in developed countries telling the developing countries that they can't have electricity is flat-out imperialistic.
There's been a couple of articles (The UK Guardian) that have attacked the charts used, and the producer of the documentary admitted to fudging some of the graphs, but I think the overall gyst is still pretty solid. Yeah, and the ex-leader of greenpeace calling them out on it, pretty powerful stuff.
